South Africa: Small Business Development Committee Set to Conduct Last Leg of Public Hearings on National Small Enterprise Amendment (NSEA) Bill in Gauteng

The Portfolio Committee on Small Enterprise Improvement will from tomorrow, 21 November 2023, conduct three public hearings on the Nationwide Small Enterprise Modification (NSEA) Invoice [B16-2023] in Gauteng.

The primary public hearings will likely be held on the Fochville Civic Centre in West Rand District from 10 am to 2 pm. The second public listening to will likely be held on the South Rand Recreation Centre within the Metropolis of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality and third will likely be performed on the Boksburg Metropolis Corridor in Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

The committee has already lined eight different provinces. These public hearings are performed in keeping with part 59(1)(a) of the Structure of the Republic of South Africa, which requires the Nationwide Meeting to facilitate public involvement within the legislative and different processes of the Meeting and its committees.

The NSEA Invoice seeks to, amongst different issues, present for the institution of the Small Enterprise Improvement Finance Company and the Workplace of the Small Enterprise Ombud Service.
